Holidays like Halloween take planning, not only to find the perfect costume, but to be at all the right events and parties. This year, CAB is making that process a little easier by giving you somewhere to be on Thursday, Oct. 28 to jump start your Halloween marathon weekend properly by hosting “Fright Night.” Students can enjoy a haunted house, free photo booth and a live band, whose name will remain a mystery as part of the spirit of Halloween, on the entire fourth floor of the UC building. The Intercultural Center plans to host a Día de los Muertos and Michael Jackson’s Thriller themed room, and the Gender Sexuality Women’s Student Resource Center (GSWSRC) is helping decorate pumpkins for any students who love the traditional staples of the holiday. CAB is also making sure that there will be tons of booths to satiate not only your appetite for great food, but your appetite for terror. Back To Da Roots, USF’s urban gardening club, is slated to prepare food made out of pumpkins. A few feet away Greek Council will hold a fear factor booth where you’ll be able to watch your friends dip their hands into bowls of which the contents are questionable at best. A mummy wrap, scream-off, cake walk, bobbing for spiders contest and witch’s hat ball toss guarantee a great way to ignite the ghoulish spirit of the Halloween festivities. Come to Fright Night in your costume and get your Halloween off right with the (mad scientist’s) perfect concoction of fear and fun!
